Q: What is an undermount sink?

Q: What is an undermount sink?A: To put it simply, an undermount kitchen sink is one that has been mounted underneath the counter. An overmount kitchen sink has a seam where it has been mounted over the counter – an undermount sink, on the other hand, has no such seam. The line from the countertop into the basin is a smooth one – there is no “lip.”
