kitchen sinks offer a sleek and stylish look for a
kitchen. Undermount kitchen sinks are very commonly used with stone
countertops. Of course, the benefits of undermount kitchen sinks
extends beyond the beauty of them (they really show off your countertops
nicely), but because they do not have any seam on your countertop.
Because undermount kitchen sinks do not have a seam, it is much
easier to clean up around them – you can wipe your countertop
off and wipe the debris directly into the sink without having to
worry about or deal with the raised lip that overmount kitchen sinks
have.
Of course, one negative associated with undermount kitchen sinks
is the fact that they can be more expensive. Also, depended on what
type of undermount kitchen sink and what type of countertop you
have, the price can be more expensive. A cast iron undermount kitchen
sink, for instance, cannot be hung from a stone countertop –
it actually needs to be supported by the cabinet. This is a bit
of extra work, but it is well worth it.
